If you don’t already own a great blender, one that can really liquefy veggies we suggest the blender Jodie and I have been using with great success. After buying more expensive blenders we really like the way this works and the value. Jodie’s had hers for 3 years and it still works like a charm!
- The Ninja Kitchen Blender System (best deal we’ve found on this product, also from Amazon)
Grocery List (first 5 days)
Now that you’ve got your “equipment” let’s head to the grocery store.
- 6 apples
- 20 oz. frozen peaches
- 1 bunch grapes
- 20 oz. frozen blueberries
- 15 oz. frozen strawberries
- 10 oz. frozen mixed berries
- 6 oz. mango chunks
- 3 bananas
- 1 bunch kale
- 20 oz. spinach
- 20 oz. spring mix greens
- Stevia sweetener (packets)
- bag of ground flaxseeds (often in vitamin section)
- fruit and veggies of your choice to munch on (apples, celery, carrots)
- raw or unsalted nuts or seeds to snack on
- Detox tea (by Triple Leaf or Yogi brands)
- Sea salt (or any uniodized sea salt)
- optional: Non-dairy/plant-based protein powder, such as RAW Protein by Garden of Life or SunWarrior protein
Grocery List (for last 5 days)
- 20 oz. frozen mango chunks
- 6 oz. frozen blueberries
- 20 oz. frozen peaches
- 10 oz. frozen mixed berries
- 20 oz. frozen pineapple chunks
- 6 oz. frozen strawberries
- 2 apples
- 5 bananas
- 1 bunch kale
- 20 oz. spinach

- Raw or unsalted nuts and seeds to snack on

I’ve been doing something very similar. I’ve been drinking two smoothies daily. My smoothies consist of spinach, kale, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, banana, flaxseed, chai seeds, Greek yogurt, and soy milk. Just recently purchased the greatest blender ever the VitaMix blender!!!
Jill, Love to hear what you’ve been doing! The VitaMix has always tempted me…EEK! I just have never wanted to spend that much, but I’m sure it’s fun! My goal for this cleanse is to really force me to try different smoothie recipes, learn, get in the habit of avoiding the “treats” I allow myself and getting a solid healthy start for the New Year. Afterwards I plan on continuing to make smoothies of all kinds, as I love them. I’m a picky eater so it’s a great way for me to get the healthy foods that I don’t normally eat enough of! And now that’s its Saint Pattys day month “March Madness” a green smoothie seems appropriate. After watching your mom tap dance on your live stream, I was so overjoyed buy these woman and their love of life still going strong at their age. It truely gave me the inspiration to be who are and never stop loving what you love and to stay healthy and active as we age. My grandmother who lived till 95 always said to us, I stay busy & I always keep moving because if you sit too long you just get rusty. God bless
